Morningside Academy is proud to announce the creation of the Morningside Academy Alumni Association. The Alumni Association comprises parents, guardians, and alumni. It is an informal group committed to supporting the school and its programs as well as providing opportunities for sharing the Morningside experience.

Letter From the Alumni Association President
I am a former parent of a Morningside student -- our son attended for three years, and we left in June of 2007. We left Morningside but we still feel an appreciation and interest in the school. As President of the Alumni Association, I would like to welcome you to join me in becoming a part of this organization.
The alumni association is a way for "graduates" and parents of former students to keep in touch, share stories about life after Morningside, and become involved. We are no longer in the school as students and parents but we still have a connection and want to contribute to its continuing life.
Our son entered Morningside with little confidence, poor social skills, and anxiety. The teenage years are already difficult and with a disability of ADHD, it gets compounded. Our son flourished at this school. He made good friends and accelerated academically. He had teachers and staff who cared about him. Instead of feeling different in a bad way, he was part of a majority of kids, all struggling with their own concerns while at the same time making dramatic positive changes. I believe the three years at Morningside made it possible for our son to successfully transition into a huge 1,700-student public high school.
There are many ways to stay involved. Please fill out your contact information so we can update our files, submit a testimonial about your Morningside experience, attend the annual Gala, and even make a gift. This year I will be hosting a Morningside table(s) at Celebrate Morningside 2008 on March 7, 2008 at the Hall at Fauntleroy. Please mark your calendars. I hope you will join me in showing our appreciation for this school.
