Celebrate Morningside 2007
Third Annual Dinner/Auction
Save the Date
Sunday, April 1, 2007
4:00 PM
The Lake Union Cafe
“Celebrate Morningside 2006,” Second Annual Dinner/Auction, was held on Sunday, March 12, 2006. The event attracted 170 people for a glorious evening of culinary delights, music, and auctions. Seahawks Player Jerheme Urban generously donated his time to greet guests and sign autographs. Artist Alden Mason attended the event while parents Karen and Yosh Ohno offered one of his pieces for bid at the live auction. In addition to the fabulous art donated by local artists such as Michael Spafford and Norman Lundin, the auction favorites also included vacation homes, restaurant gift certificates and Mariner’s tickets.
Shelley Gomavitz, alumni parent and owner of The Lake Union Cafe, provided a discount for the gourmet food enjoyed by all. This enabled us to offer a reasonable ticket price for a great dinner combined with live entertainment provided by the Josh Rawlings Trio.
This event marked the second annual fundraiser for the school. The focus of this event is to offer an annual social, an opportunity for families, friends of the school, neighbors, and faculty and staff to share a lovely evening. Our goal is to raise money for the school at the same time. This year’s event raised $56,000 for the school.
Please mark your calendars and join us next year at “Celebrate Morningside 2007,” the celebration continues, on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at 4:00pm at the Lake Union Cafe. We look forward to seeing you there. All are invited!
