Morningside Academy

901 Lenora Street

Dr. Kent Johnson founded Morningside in Seattle in 1980. Morningside has two programs: a non-profit school for children and youth, and a teachers' academy.

Morningside Academy's school helps both elementary and middle school students to catch up and get ahead. Its students have not previously reached their potential; many have learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or ADD/ADHD; all have average to well above average intelligence. Morningside is not a school for children with significant emotional problems, behavioral problems, or developmental delays.

"The Reach for the Stars Auction & Gala is on May 8th at the Downtown Seattle Westin. Join us in our biggest fundraising event of the year to celebrate our students and teachers, and to raise crucial funds for our scholarship program.
